Towards the final phase of GameComp: Lascò presents educational games for sustainability

22 January 2026

How can we make learning about sustainability more engaging for young people?

Yesterday, together with Associazione Akira, we shared some possible answers by presenting the results achieved so far by the GameComp project to young people and youth workers.

The core of the meeting was the presentation of the gamification-based learning experiences developed as one of the most important phases within the Erasmus+ GameComp project. During the meeting, we showed how gamification can transform complex topics into active and engaging learning experiences.

We illustrated to the young participants and teachers present the approach behind the 60 educational games developed within the project.

These tools (ranging from quizzes and puzzles to role-playing games, simulations and interactive stories) were specifically designed to train and develop the 12 key competences defined by GreenComp, the European sustainability competence framework. Through these games, learners are invited to analyse environmental challenges, make strategic choices and understand the impact of their actions on the planet.
